Poems from US!

These are poems, one from me, and one that Kate wrote!

Kate:

I am falling
down an endless black sheet
twinkling glitter bugs glowing
I smile as I look back on the green
And blue dappled planet
Then I frown
Will I ever return?
My name is engraved in my heart
My place is engraved in my mind
My home is there
I reach to touch it
I can almost grasp it
I can hear the cheering as I pull my earth back to me
But it is drifting away
The more I reach
The farther it runs
Come back, please come back!
But in the mean time,
I am falling

My mind is spinning
I hear the footsteps
I know it is you at the door
But I cannot bring myself
To face the harsh reality
I know it is time
I know that though I fear it, it will be quick
Not easy, just fast
I look back on the lonely place I call home
I may never return
Adventure can lead to many things
But the most certain is death
And here it is, knocking on my door......
